Dock the tools panel
Section titled “Dock the tools panel”The tools can sit left of, below, or right of the Before and After previews. Choose a position with the Tools buttons in the panel header, or run Synkronyx Image: Position Tools Panel…. The choice is saved in the synkronyx-image.toolsDock setting (left, bottom, or right, default bottom) and applies to every open editor at once.
Drag the separator between the previews and the tools to resize them, or focus it and use the arrow keys, Page Up, Page Down, Home, and End. When the panel is narrower than 720 pixels, the tools always stack below the previews.
Where commands appear
Section titled “Where commands appear”The Command Palette always lists the image editing commands. Explorer, editor, and editor tab context menus show the Synkronyx Image submenu only for supported image extensions, and for the Synkronyx Image editor tab itself. The same submenu is in the … menu of the editor title bar.
Choosing a tool from the tab of an image that already has a Synkronyx Image editor open switches that editor to the tool and keeps your unsaved settings. Choosing a tool from the Synkronyx Image editor tab does the same. Otherwise the extension opens a new editor for the selected or active image.
